Cane is directly imported and individually prepared in-house by professional Oboist Don Werdick. All cane processed is grown either on the ETS Rigotti or L. Pisoni cane fields located in France's southern Var region (Cogolin, Grimaud, Fréjus and Hyéres), which is well known for producing superior reed cane. It is aged a minimum of three years and is medium gold to golden brown in color, smooth texture with a density that is medium to medium hard producing a rich and stable tone. This cane is for the professional oboist. Water used during in-house processing is reverse osmosis purified. Cane is hand gouged using RDG-USA and Reeds ‘n Stuff-Germany gouging machines. Cane is hand shaped using a quality shaping machine manufactured by Reeds ‘n Stuff with RDG shaper templates. Paid/verified orders shipped within five days.
